شمس

شمس ابنه عائله من الاف العائلات السورية التي شردت من وطنها، دمرت منازلها وقطعت ارزاقها تركت وطنها مرغمة لا راغبة بذلك من هول ما لاقوه هناك، والدة شمس دخلت الى الاردن مع بناتها الثلاث وطفل صغير حيث بقي والدهم في سوريا ،الا انه دخل بعدهم بفترة قصيرة ولكنه بحال يندى له الجبين حيث اتى وهو بغيبوبة اثر اصابة في الرأس بعد انفجار قنبلة و هو يسعف الجرحى في سوريا، وبعد رحلة علاج دامت شهور استقر وضعه الصحي شبه مشلول وما زال بحاجه لعلاج فيزيائي بالإضافه الى عملية لإحدى اذنيه واخرى لإحدى عينيه. وهنا لم يبقى لشمس تلك الطفلة البالغه من العمر اربعة عشر عاما الا ان تترك مقعدها الدراسي لتعمل ليل نهار وبكل شعورٍ بالمسؤولية مع والدتها في الحفر على الفخار وبلظم الخرز ليتمكنوا من تغطية نفقات علاج والدها بالإضافة الى المصاريف الأخرى من مواصلات الى المستشفى واجار البيت و مصاريف اخواتها المدرسية واخيها الطفل الصغير وتقول شمس: ((انا اعمل من اجل ان يسترد والدي عافيته ويعود كما كان)).. اشرقتي على عائلتك وانت شمس في مهدها فأي شمس ستشرق على ضفائرك  يا شمس لتنير دربك وتدفء ما اصابك من قشعريرة فقدك للطفولة..

Shams is a girl out of thousands who were driven out of Syria and into Jordan with their families after their houses were destroyed and their means of living left behind; they are now facing hardships they never imagined. Shams’ mother came into Jordan with her five children and her husband followed after a month, but he came to Jordan in a coma after a head injury he sustained in Syria while helping to transport the injured. And after months of treatment he is now stable yet disabled and in need of physical therapy and other operations. Shams, at fourteen years of age, had no choice but to leave her school and help her mother with a sense of responsibility. They work together and design pottery, make accessories, and sew dresses. They use the money for her father’s treatment expenses as well as transportation costs, rent, and school supplies for he siblings. Shams says, “I am working so that my father can get better and go back to how he was.” You are shining down on your family, Shams, and may you bask under the warmth of the sun and may it light your way to find what you have lost of your childhood…
